A two-day training in the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs brought together psychologists to discuss pressing issues of assisting migrants and strengthening professional skills.
The leading police university in Belarus continues to participate in the implementation of the training program for employees of state bodies and representatives of public organizations.
Another event has been organized with the support of the European Union and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in the framework of the international technical assistance project “Assistance to the Republic of Belarus in resolving issues related to the increase in the number of irregular migrants”.
The training topics have covered aspects of assisting migrants affected by sexual and gender-based violence. Particular attention has been paid to problems from the daily activities of psychologists, and the prevention of professional burnout has been mentioned as well. The invited experts from the NGO “Belarusian Association of Young Christian Women”, along with the theoretical component, developed a rich training program with a series of exercises.
