The National Center for Legislation and Legal Research and the Council of Europe organized a round table on legislation.
April 12, 2019 on the joint initiative of the National Center for Legislation and Legal Research and the Council of Europe held a round table on the topic: 'Practical aspects of forecasting the effectiveness of the application of legislation and public participation in the legislative process'. The event was devoted to the implementation of certain provisions of the Law of the Republic of Belarus of July 17, 2018 No. 130-З “On Normative Legal Acts” and the secondary legislation adopted for its development.
Representatives of both chambers of Parliament, the National Center for Legal Information, the Ministry of Economy, other state bodies (organizations), as well as representatives of the scientific community and public organizations took part in the round table meeting. The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus was represented by the head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, Police Colonel Vadim Pavlov.
According to the website of the National Center for Legislation and Legal Research of the Republic of Belarus, a constructive dialogue allowed the roundtable participants to discuss new legal requirements for conducting public discussions of draft regulations and forecasting the consequences of adopting (issuing) legislative acts, identifying problematic issues that arise in practice and develop joint recommendations to overcome them.
