Scientific Forum: Discussed Features and Prospects for Training Lawyers

International scientific-methodical conference "Actual Problems of Legal Education" was held at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on October 23.

The conference brought together representatives of foreign educational institutions, including the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan named after Barimbek Beisenov, Russian universities - the Academy of Law and Administration of the Federal Penitentiary Service, the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Nizhny Novgorod Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Tyumen Institute for Advanced Training of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On the Belarusian side, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs on ideological work and staffing, Major-General Alexander Kobrusev, First Deputy Minister of Education, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Vadim Bogush, Chairman of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission, Member of the Public Council at the Ministry of Internal Affairs doctor of pedagogical sciences, associate professor Gennadiy Palchik, rector of the Academy of Management under the President of Belarus Ph.D. in History, associate professor Marat Zhilinskiy.

Head of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, candidate of legal sciences, associate professor major general of militia Vladimir Bachila noted the importance of the event, which became traditional for several years, and expressed confidence that the conference will serve as a platform for the exchange of views on the integration of higher education in the Bologna process and modernization of legal education in context of European approaches.

In his speech, the first deputy head of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor Colonel of Militia Aleksey Bashan dwelled on the main directions of development of the educational process at a milition academy in the context of the Bologna Process, as well as the Academy's achievements in the field of innovative methods of teaching the academic disciplines.

A number of topical issues were touched upon by the guests of the conference. The reports were devoted to the topics: "Directions for improving the higher legal education (on the example of the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia)" (deputy chief of the educational and methodical work of this university, Colonel of Police Elena Shutova), "The system of training legal personnel for institutions and bodies that carry out criminal punishment in the Russian Federation "(Deputy Head of the Academy of Law and Administration of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for Academic Affairs candidate of psychological sciences, associate professor, Colonel of Internal Service Irina MIkhalev), "Methodological support of professional activities of graduates of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia" (the first deputy head of the Nizhny Novgorod Academy of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia for research, candidate of economic sciences, associate professor, lieutenant colonel Roman Polenkov), etc.

On the same day the exhibition "Realization of youth policy in the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs" was held. Expositions were devoted to the activities of faculties, departments and departments of the university, as well as youth projects implemented in the militia alma mater. The organizers demonstrated to the guests electronic educational and methodical complexes, training programs, simulators for academic disciplines.

As a result of the conference, a collection of abstracts was published. The authors were 89 participants of the forum, representing 10 foreign and 14 Belarusian educational institutions.
