Cadets - Participants of the National Youth Student Forum

The forum brought together active and enterprising representatives of universities in Belarus, leaders of public associations, and participants in volunteer movements.

The two-day event was held in the Volozhin district of the Minsk region. The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was presented by cadets Maria Volokh (2 course of the penitentiary department) and Yuri Chizhonkov (4 course of the police department).

The Youth Forum is designed to popularize effective forms of youth participation in public and student life, to promote the development of leadership skills, creative and scientific potential of students. The participants exchanged experiences, and deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly and heads of universities joined the discussion of topical issues. A meeting of students with the Minister of Education Igor Karpenko also took place. In his speech, he noted that students are not indifferent to what is happening in their educational institutions and in the education system as a whole, show great interest in how the curriculum is formed, which disciplines are taught and how they are updated, how the educational process is improved and developed student science. The Minister answered all questions of interest, and also stressed that education is an open system, ready for dialogue. And such a dialogue will be continued, as great importance is attached to work with young people.

The forum participants familiarized themselves with the draft strategy for the development of the state youth policy of Belarus until 2030 and compiled the results of the Volunteer of the Year contest, the final of which gathered the 12 best volunteers from all regions of the country. Attention is paid to youth public associations in shaping the social activity of students, as well as the system of interaction between student government bodies and university management. They spoke about youth parliamentarism as a form of implementation of youth policy, as well as opportunities for cooperation with the media and creative work in social networks. All the issues discussed were reflected in the forum resolution.
